Our research at the School of Medicine focuses on revolutionizing healthcare through health promotion, illness prevention, early diagnosis, treatment approaches, and effective communication at local, national, and international levels. Our diverse team brings together specialists in health data analysis, population health studies, clinical trials, and the development of evidence-based psychological treatments.
Our work spans primary care and community health settings, with particular emphasis on addiction treatment, youth health, chronic disease management, and lifestyle-related health issues. We prioritize active engagement with patients and the public in all research phases, including collaboration with the Fife Community Advisory Council for research guidance. Through participatory design methods, we enhance both research implementation and comprehension. Our partnerships include close work with the Sir James Mackenzie Institute for Early Diagnosis.
