Our Global Sustainable Development program tackles numerous critical sustainability issues facing today's world, preparing students to assess various perspectives on these challenges and potential solutions while providing practical skills to translate ideas into policy. The curriculum explores a wide range of environmental, social, and economic topics including climate action, global progress, public wellness, renewable resources, governance reforms, and biodiversity protection.
The interdisciplinary MSc in Global Sustainable Development is grounded in critical social science approaches. While acknowledging scientific evidence about human environmental impacts, we emphasize how societal and political factors hinder necessary transformations. Social science methodologies help examine these barriers through lenses of influence, information systems, and governance structures. A special focus is placed on fairness and inclusion principles. We prioritize evidence-based instruction, scholarly excellence, and equipping students with tools to drive research-informed transformation.
