Grasping foreign languages and cultures should be a core tenet of our interconnected world. University-level language studies enable students to comprehend people, traditions, and historical narratives through their native tongues. This educational path also allows for a wider perspective on one's own linguistic and cultural background.Within the School of Modern Languages, you'll learn from specialists across seven language disciplines and Comparative Literature, with research spanning from medieval times to contemporary issues.
The MPhil program blends coursework with research. Students complete two semesters of full-time instruction (or equivalent part-time), followed by assessments. Subsequently, they develop a thesis not exceeding 40,000 words during summer and the following year, submitting it by the second academic year's conclusion.
