The MLitt in Middle Eastern Literary and Cultural Studies enables students to expand their understanding of both classical and contemporary Arabic and Persian literary traditions, arts, cinema, and music. This program serves as excellent preparation for careers in regional cultural fields or provides a strong foundation for advancing to doctoral research. Offered by the Department of Arabic and Persian within the School of Modern Languages, this one-year intensive course targets individuals with prior experience in Persian or Arabic literature who wish to explore comparative literature, postcolonial studies, translation theory, gender studies, and Middle Eastern historical and cultural contexts.
