The MLitt in Italian Studies enables students to advance their understanding of Italian literature and culture. This program combines theoretical exploration with research methodology training, allowing participants to focus on specialized topics that align with their academic pursuits. Course components employ diverse teaching approaches and evaluation methods. Participants will enhance their grasp of Italy's historical and cultural landscape by examining literary works, films, and various artistic mediums. The curriculum includes theoretical instruction and practical applications, with faculty members from multiple disciplines leading seminar discussions on both conventional and innovative research methods. Instruction occurs in intimate classroom settings with globally diverse cohorts, fostering a supportive postgraduate network. Five mandatory modules form the core curriculum, covering literary theory, research methodologies, and Italian cultural studies. The program employs a blend of lecture formats, seminar discussions, and biweekly tutorial sessions, with class sizes varying from individual supervision to groups of twenty. Evaluation is based entirely on coursework, with no final examinations required.
