This one-year full-time MLitt program blends advanced coursework with guided research. French studies is available as an independent specialization or can be combined with one of five other options:
German studies
Italian studies
Middle Eastern literary and cultural studies (Arabic and Persian)
Russian studies
Spanish and Latin American studies.
All students across the six specializations begin with a module in literary and cultural theory. This foundational course offers essential preparation for advanced study in each track while fostering academic and social connections. You'll examine influential literary and cultural theories spanning different eras and regions, equipping you with frameworks to analyze and critique diverse texts and cultural works.
