The International Master's in Audiovisual and Cinema Studies (IMACS) MLitt is a two-year graduate program offered by the Department of Film Studies. This curriculum adopts a diverse intellectual framework to examine cinema within a worldwide context. Students will explore non-traditional filmmaking traditions and analyze cinema through fresh cultural, theoretical, and historical lenses.
As Scotland's sole international MLitt in Film and Media Studies and one of just two in the UK, the IMACS program provides access to 15 leading European film and media departments (including St Andrews) along with Canada's premier Francophone film studies program.
