This program offers an in-depth exploration of Mathematics and Theoretical Physics through research-focused studies, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves and progresses. Participants will develop a passion for self-directed learning characterized by curiosity, precision, and academic excellence. Spanning 60 months, this course culminates in a Master in Physics (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 600 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years focus on core program-specific modules alongside elective options, which may include interdisciplinary courses. Subsequent years emphasize advanced, research-driven education tailored to the program's specialized curriculum. The first two years combine mandatory program modules with diverse electives, potentially from other faculties, while later years concentrate on specialized, research-oriented coursework.
