This program offers an in-depth exploration of Spanish combined with Geography at an advanced, research-focused level, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge is developed, expanded, and refreshed. It fosters independent learning among all participants, emphasizing curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules. Students are required to complete 540 credits throughout the program, typically earning 120 credits per academic year. The initial two years generally feature core program-specific modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty offerings). Subsequent years provide specialized, research-driven education through tailored modules. The first two years usually incorporate essential program-focused courses along with electives (potentially from other Faculties), while the later years deliver advanced, research-oriented instruction through discipline-specific coursework.
