The MA (Hons) in Modern History equips students to examine historical developments from the last five centuries through contemporary perspectives. You'll select from diverse optional courses spanning wide chronological, geographic and thematic scopes.

Covering approximately 1450 through the present day, the program provides courses exploring the histories of various global regions - including Britain, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, and parts of Africa and the Americas. Available specializations encompass intellectual, political, cultural, military, religious, gender, social and economic historical studies.
