The MA (Hons) in Modern History equips students to examine historical developments from the last five centuries through contemporary perspectives. You can select from diverse elective courses spanning wide-ranging time periods, geographic areas, and thematic approaches.
Covering approximately 1450 through the present day, the program offers courses exploring the histories of various global regions, including Britain, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, and parts of Africa and the Americas. Students can study multiple historical dimensions, including intellectual, political, cultural, military, religious, gender, social, and economic perspectives.
Recognized as a leading approach to 21st-century environmental and developmental issues, sustainable development tackles critical concerns like clean water access, sanitation systems, energy production, public health, food security, and biodiversity conservation. The BSc (Hons) in Sustainable Development prepares students to address societal and environmental challenges by studying sustainability principles across multiple disciplines.
