This program offers an in-depth exploration of Latin and Mathematics through research-focused study, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge is developed, expanded, and revitalized. It fosters independent learning among all participants, promoting curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years feature compulsory program-specific modules alongside elective options, which may include interdisciplinary courses. Subsequent years focus on advanced, research-driven study tailored to the program's specialized curriculum. The first two years combine mandatory program modules with a selection of electives, potentially from other faculties, while the later years emphasize specialized, research-oriented coursework.
