This program combines the study of Italian and Psychology (with accreditation from the British Psychological Society) along with an Integrated Year Abroad, delivering advanced, research-focused education. Students will explore how knowledge is developed, expanded, and refreshed. The curriculum fosters independent learning, promoting curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, it culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 540 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years feature core program modules alongside elective options (sometimes including cross-faculty courses). Subsequent years focus on specialized, research-driven modules that deepen program-specific knowledge. The first two years incorporate essential program modules along with selected electives (potentially from other faculties), while later years emphasize advanced research-oriented study through tailored coursework.
