This program offers advanced study of Greek and Spanish through research-focused coursework, enabling students to explore how knowledge evolves and expands. Participants will develop skills in independent learning characterized by curiosity, academic integrity, precision, and scholarly rigor. The 48-month curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-bearing courses, requiring students to complete 480 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options (potentially including cross-faculty modules). Subsequent years focus on specialized, research-driven instruction through discipline-specific advanced modules. The first two years blend core program requirements with selected electives (which may include interdisciplinary offerings), while later years emphasize tailored, research-intensive study through specialized coursework.
