This program combines advanced study of German and Mathematics with an Integrated Year Abroad, offering research-focused education where students explore how knowledge evolves and advances. It fosters independent learning through curiosity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, it leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring 540 credits total—typically 120 per academic year. The first two years feature core program modules alongside optional courses (sometimes from other Faculties), while subsequent years focus on specialized, research-driven curriculum.
