This program offers advanced, research-focused study of French and Persian, enabling students to explore how knowledge is developed, expanded, and refreshed. It fosters independent learning among all participants, emphasizing curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. The 48-month course culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty modules). The final years deliver specialized, research-driven instruction through tailored curriculum modules.
