This program offers an in-depth exploration of Film Studies and Spanish through research-focused learning, where students will discover how knowledge is developed, expanded, and revitalized. It fosters independent study among all participants, promoting curiosity, precision, academic integrity, and rigorous thinking. Spanning 48 months, the course culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules. Students are required to complete 480 credits over the program's duration, typically earning 120 credits per academic year. The initial two years focus on core program-specific modules alongside optional selections (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty offerings). The final years emphasize advanced, research-driven education through specialized curriculum modules. The first two years combine mandatory program courses with elective choices (potentially from other Faculties), while the later stages provide tailored, research-oriented study.
