The MA (Hons) in Economics offers a systematic, progressive, and thorough grounding in economic theories, fundamentals, analytical approaches, methodologies, and subject knowledge. You'll enhance your critical thinking and problem-solving skills through instruction in quantitative and model-based analytical techniques. Economics students at St Andrews can specialize in areas including macroeconomic theory, decision-making frameworks, global economics and development strategies, strategic interaction models, competitive markets and technological progress, as well as environmental economics. This course delivers advanced, research-focused education in Economics and Sustainable Development, equipping students with insights into how academic knowledge evolves, progresses, and gets revitalized. Spanning 48 months, this program culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews degree programs, it comprises modular credit units.
