The MA (Hons) in Classical Studies offers an exceptionally broad and profound academic journey. This program explores not just Greek and Roman literature but also delves into the classical world's social history, cultural developments, philosophical traditions, religious practices, artistic achievements, and its enduring influence on contemporary society. At St Andrews, you'll engage with diverse topics - from the dramatic intensity of Greek tragedies to the majestic artistry of Roman sculptures and the intellectual challenges of Platonic discourse. This curriculum fosters fresh perspectives on both ancient civilizations and modern society.

All classical works are taught using English translations, with no prerequisite knowledge of ancient languages.
