This program offers an in-depth exploration of Computer Science and Physics through research-focused coursework, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves and progresses. Participants will develop a passion for self-directed learning characterized by curiosity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum culminates in a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years focus on core program modules alongside elective options, potentially including interdisciplinary courses. Subsequent years emphasize specialized, research-driven study through advanced program-specific modules. The first two years combine mandatory subjects with various electives (sometimes from other faculties), while later years concentrate on tailored, research-oriented coursework.
