This program offers an in-depth exploration of Chemistry combined with French, delivered at an advanced, research-focused level where students will learn how knowledge is developed, expanded, and refreshed. It aims to foster independent learning among all participants, promoting curiosity, precision, academic integrity, and intellectual discipline. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree is awarded after completing this 48-month course. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to accumulate 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years focus on mandatory program-specific modules alongside elective options, which may include interdisciplinary choices. The final years emphasize advanced, research-driven education through specialized coursework.
