Pursue our intensive 2-year full-time audiology master's program featuring clinical placements, blending scientific education with hands-on experience. The 3-year option provides part-time clinical training across two years. Develop essential competencies for a career in clinical audiology. Successful UK graduates qualify for registration with The Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS), enabling NHS employment as audiologists. Alumni from this program have emerged as pioneering professionals both domestically and internationally. Whether you're entering audiology or are an experienced healthcare practitioner seeking advancement, this master's program delivers exceptional professional development. Combining academic study with practical application – including clinical placements across the UK, Ireland, and Jersey – you'll acquire specialized knowledge and skills in audiology. All placement sites are University of Southampton-approved facilities, encompassing both NHS and private healthcare providers.
Upon completion, graduates qualify to take our independent Hearing Aid Aptitude Test as a pathway to becoming registered Hearing Aid Dispensers. Non-UK applicants should consult HCPC international application guidelines.
