Gain the expertise and abilities needed to qualify as a history educator through this PGCE Secondary program at the University of Southampton. Your time will be divided between school placements and university sessions as you master teaching techniques for secondary students across all age groups and skill levels. This program certifies you to teach in state-maintained and special education schools throughout England and Wales. Youll need-
a 2:2 degree (UK honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant subject
strong subject knowledge
GCSEs (minimum grade 4/C) in English language and maths
If you don't have the required GCSEs we'll ask you at the offer stage to take equivalency tests. You'll need to cover the cost of the tests yourself.
Secondary school classroom experience may strengthen your application.
