Ignite your passion for space exploration and the cutting-edge technologies that make it possible. This MPhys Physics with Space Science program lets you dive into diverse topics, from astronomy fundamentals to satellite engineering and cosmic phenomena. You'll gain insights from current research while developing sought-after skills in this rapidly growing field - the global space industry is projected to nearly double by 2030. The degree also provides excellent preparation for doctoral studies. You'll investigate unique space-based observations like solar winds and geomagnetic disturbances while merging physics theory with aerospace engineering concepts to understand spacecraft development. A highlight includes the Tenerife field trip, where you'll collaborate with an international, multidisciplinary team to conceptualize a space telescope, design its instruments, and strategize its deployment. The curriculum covers all core physics subjects of the Masters program with a specialized focus on space science applications.
