The MPhys Physics with Industrial Placement program offers a distinctive chance to pursue physics studies while completing a 6-month paid industry placement during your fourth year. Through this internship, you'll directly apply your academic knowledge to real-world commercial projects while acquiring valuable experience that enhances your employability. This premier master's program is available to all students enrolled in our Master of Physics degree after completing their second year. Our students frequently secure placements with leading organizations including Symetrica (a global radiation detection firm), NKT Photonics (specialists in fiber lasers), and Roke Manor Research Ltd (an electronics and engineering consultancy). Unlike traditional sandwich-year placements at other institutions, this industrial placement won't extend your study duration. As a result, you can graduate after four years equipped with practical professional skills and business acumen that will make you highly attractive to potential employers.

A-levels with Extended Project Qualification
If you are taking an EPQ in addition to three A levels, you will receive the following offer in addition to the standard A level offer: AAA including physics (minimum grade A) and either mathematics or further mathematics (minimum grade A), plus grade A in the EPQ
