This MPhys Particle Physics program provides a distinctive chance to merge physics studies with an international academic year. Your fourth year will be spent collaborating with CERN's global research team in Geneva, working directly on projects at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We reserve this premier program for top-performing students in our MPhys Physics and MPhys Physics with Mathematics courses. The LHC's groundbreaking experiments resulted in the Nobel Prize-winning identification of the Higgs boson. Your CERN experience will gain global recognition from research institutions, creating numerous career and PhD opportunities. During your time at CERN, you'll contribute to one of these key experiments: LHCb, focused on matter-antimatter differences; or ATLAS/CMS, both conducting extensive searches for novel particles.

If you are taking an EPQ in addition to three A levels, you will receive the following offer in addition to the standard A level offer: AAA including physics (minimum grade A) and either mathematics or further mathematics (minimum grade A), plus grade A in the EPQ
