This biology and marine biology program explores the living world across all scales, from molecules to ecosystems. You'll engage in classroom instruction, lab sessions, and field studies both in the UK and internationally, preparing for careers in research, conservation, fisheries, or environmental management. The curriculum provides comprehensive knowledge of biological systems at multiple levels - molecular, cellular, organismal, and ecological - with an evolutionary framework. As part of Europe's largest marine science hub at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS), you'll benefit from cutting-edge research integrated into your studies. Our campus features direct access to research vessels, with marine fieldwork forming a core component of this hands-on program.
