Our BA in Modern History and Politics helps you understand societal structures and decision-making processes while examining topics such as global security, migration trends, and worldwide integration. An opportunity to study modern history and political science at an international partner institution will broaden your perspective and equip you for diverse career paths. Southampton's Modern History program pushes you to thoughtfully evaluate societal histories, while political studies invite exploration of human organization and conduct. Your third academic year will be spent at a partner university, with options across Europe, North America, Asia, or Australia. This program enables you to - investigate contemporary history across various regions including Europe, the Americas, Africa, and South Asia, explore unique artifacts from the university's collections and participate in curated museum visits, gain insights into democratic systems, nation-states, political comparisons, and global affairs.
