The MSc Project Management program was Wales' inaugural course of its kind to receive official accreditation from the Association for Project Management (APM). This Project Management curriculum enhances comprehensive knowledge of both theoretical foundations and practical applications in project, program, and portfolio management. It cultivates critical skills and competencies required to effectively plan, monitor, oversee, and successfully execute projects. The program emphasizes career-oriented skill development in project management, blending academic theory with practical applications, while aligning with core professional competency frameworks.

Upon completing this MSc Project Management program, graduates may: Pursue careers in project management roles or environments, Formalize their expertise if already working in the field, Acquire the knowledge base, organizational capabilities, and analytical skills for roles as project/program managers, portfolio managers, PMO specialists, project administrators, or project coordinators, and Develop applied research competencies to advance toward higher academic studies and additional professional certifications.

Qualification Requirements

An undergraduate honours degree from a recognised or accredited university with a minimum 2:2 or equivalent

Relevant project management related work experience will also be considered

MSc Project Management (Exemption route)

If you can demonstrate extensive practitioner experience in managing and delivering projects coupled with the APMP level 7 qualification, you may be able to study the exemption route for this course.

Eligible students will be required to complete the Managing Projects and Programmes and Research Methods modules, plus a dissertation or business research project in order to gain the full Masters qualification.

IELTS - 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component. TOEFL - 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing (including Home Edition).
