The MSc Dementia Studies stands as South Wales' sole master's program focused exclusively on dementia. Developed collaboratively by individuals with dementia, family caregivers, and healthcare professionals, this MSc Dementia Studies equips students with the expertise to support those affected by dementia. Ideal for professionals and volunteers alike, this program prepares you to deliver quality care to dementia patients and their support networks.

Created through partnerships with dementia patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, and third-sector organizations (including Alzheimer's Society), the MSc Dementia incorporates current government guidelines. This ensures graduates possess the necessary competencies for diverse dementia care environments. The program also serves as a stepping stone for leadership roles (where master's qualifications are often mandatory, such as in the NHS) or academic research (potentially leading to MPhil/PhD opportunities).
