Our Forensic Investigation degree is designed for students without a conventional science background or those with a particular passion for this discipline. The program equips learners with expertise in applying forensic methods across diverse criminal cases, spanning areas like sports doping tests, product authenticity verification, food DNA analysis, wildlife offenses, and toxicology studies connected to bioterrorism. Through hands-on training, you'll master skills in processing crime scenes, examining forensic materials, and participating in mock trials. This degree also covers the framework and procedures governing the justice system, along with investigative law. Students will conduct realistic casework in our advanced Crime Scene Training Facility, tackling scenarios from break-ins and vehicle inspections to intricate arson and murder reconstructions. You'll analyze multiple cases, study the forensic methods employed to crack them, and develop the ability to assess investigative approaches critically. The BSc in Forensic Investigation cultivates the academic, professional, and interpersonal competencies required for various career paths, including positions in forensic labs, investigative teams, and broader justice system roles. Additionally, the curriculum fosters adaptable skills applicable to numerous professions demanding scientific analysis capabilities.
