If you lack the necessary qualifications to begin our BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science program or wish to build confidence in advanced academic work, you may choose to commence with a foundation year. This initial year offers structured support to help you enhance your scientific abilities and knowledge. Biomedical Science is a dynamic, multidisciplinary field that examines human biology at molecular, cellular, and systemic levels, using these insights to advance disease treatment and health improvement. With strong emphasis on laboratory methods and scientific communication—including lab report writing, data analysis, and research problem-solving—this program equips students with key skills for diverse scientific professions. The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree lays the groundwork for careers in biomedical research, education, biotechnology, or further academic pursuits (such as MSc or PhD studies). Graduates may also pursue healthcare roles, including positions as Physician Associates or in Public Health sectors.
