If your current grades don't meet the direct entry requirements for our BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering program, you can begin with a foundation year. This additional year is designed to thoroughly prepare you for success in the degree program. You'll explore introductory subjects related to the degree while building essential academic skills. Our BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering curriculum was created in collaboration with industry experts, including the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), to enhance your career prospects. You'll learn fundamental engineering concepts for aerospace careers and gain hands-on experience in our advanced Aerospace Centre. When conditions allow, final-year students can participate in flight test lessons.

We maintain robust connections with regional aviation leaders such as GE Aviation, Rolls Royce, BAMC, Nordam Europe, TES Aviation Group, Storm Aviation, and other Aerospace Wales Forum members. Our Aeronautical Engineering graduates are sought after not just in the UK, but across global civil and defense aviation sectors. Many students secure positions with prominent UK companies including GE Aviation, Storm Aviation, Airbus, BAMC, and TES Aviation.
