Effective human resource management (HRM) is crucial across all organizational levels. A company's success hinges on its ability to properly manage, inspire, and engage its workforce. Our CIPD-accredited BA (Hons) Human Resource Management program addresses both current and emerging challenges in the HR field, giving students comprehensive insights into people management theories and practices throughout history and into the future. Aligned with the 2018 CIPD Professional Standards and shaped through collaboration with CIPD professionals, corporate leaders, and global industry partners, this course equips you with precisely the competencies, attitudes, and fundamental knowledge sought by today's HR sector - enhancing your career prospects.

Our BA (Hons) HRM program builds upon the CIPD 2018 standards to produce adaptable, work-ready graduates. Learners gain from South Wales Business School's extensive network of industry connections cultivated over ten years. These partnerships facilitate valuable practical experiences including expert-led seminars, workplace visits, career events, hands-on research projects, internships, and real-world case assessments. A mandatory 10-week industry placement in the second year immerses students in regional HR departments with leading employers, significantly boosting their career potential. The Business Clinic initiative offers continuous professional growth throughout all three years, allowing participants to work as junior analysts addressing actual business problems for local companies. This innovative platform fosters collaborative partnerships between students, faculty, and organizations while developing critical competencies in project leadership, strategic decision-making, and risk assessment within a supportive learning environment.
