The Foundation Year in Human Resource Management is the first step in a four-year degree program, tailored for students who don't yet qualify for direct admission to the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management. This introductory HRM program covers key subjects like business, psychology, and computing while equipping you with the foundational skills and confidence to advance toward your degree goals. Classes are scheduled across three weekly days to accommodate work and personal responsibilities.
HRM graduates are highly sought after in both specialized HR fields and broader business environments. Developing leadership and people management skills—core components of this degree—is crucial for today's managers. HRM is a growing field with global opportunities, offering diverse career paths from recruitment management to training specialists. Alumni have secured roles across HR functions, while some leverage their CIPD student membership for general management careers or launch HR ventures. The program also serves as a stepping stone to advanced research degrees like Masters by Research or PhDs.
