This interdisciplinary program merges human geography with urban planning, empowering you to address environmental and social equity challenges in urban growth contexts. The curriculum is collaboratively delivered by the Geography and Urban Studies and Planning Departments.
Situated in one convenient location, these departments pool their specialized knowledge to provide a versatile, comprehensive dual honors degree.

Merge the theoretical aspects of human geography - including social, cultural and political dimensions - with the hands-on, practical applications of urban planning education.

Your foundational year will introduce core concepts in both human geography and planning. The second year deepens your grasp of economic, social and political geographies, alongside the planning frameworks and economic forces influencing urban and rural landscapes.

During your final year, you'll focus on specialized modules of your choice, culminating in an independent dissertation research project.

With support from our dedicated career services team, you'll graduate not only with strong employment potential but also the professional competencies and networks to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
