At Sheffield's School of Clinical Dentistry, research thrives in a uniquely interdisciplinary setting, combining cutting-edge fundamental and applied science with clinical practice at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital. This collaborative environment brings together biomedical, engineering, and social science experts, enriching our teaching, expanding knowledge, and driving clinical innovation. The school features three interconnected research groups—BHT, iBIO, and PAPOR—aligned with four core themes focused on translating discoveries into real-world impact. Our research-active faculty deliver high-standard education across BDS, BMedSci, MSc, DClinDent, and Dental Hygiene & Therapy programs, while also inviting students to participate in research projects. Additionally, we support a dynamic community of Postgraduate Researchers in specialized facilities.
