The curriculum covers numerous communication challenges and swallowing disorders affecting both children and adults. You'll examine everything from anatomical structures and physiological processes related to speech pathology to psychological and social influences on communication.
Clinical Experience
Placements begin in your first semester and continue throughout the program. Initial placements coincide with coursework, allowing you to connect academic concepts with real-world practice. Each summer includes dedicated clinical placement periods.
Career Prospects
Program graduates qualify for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as licensed speech and language therapists.
