This program focuses on designing and managing manufacturing processes for products like fuels, pharmaceuticals, plastics, food items, and advanced materials. The curriculum also covers energy generation and utilization. The first three years mirror the BEng (H810) program, while the fourth year offers advanced specialization opportunities centered around an industry-linked research project.
You'll gain expertise in developing processes and products that handle material and energy transformation. We'll enhance your technical abilities, research capabilities, and analytical thinking to prepare you for success in your chosen field.
Our alumni pursue careers in all chemical engineering disciplines, including biopharmaceutical engineering, and possess strong qualifications for digital manufacturing roles.
Practical learning forms a core component of our approach. You'll acquire hands-on skills through laboratory sessions, project work, and open-ended challenges.
Our pilot plant facility enables you to implement lecture concepts using industrial-scale equipment, providing unique preparation for real-world engineering challenges.
The third-year process design project equips you with essential chemical engineering design competencies.
During your final year, you'll conduct self-directed research under faculty guidance, allowing specialization in your preferred area.
