The Medical Statistics Group (MSG) focuses on:

Building and sustaining robust research initiatives in statistical methods applicable to medical and health studies.
Partnering with researchers to produce distinguished, internationally acknowledged studies.
Creating and providing top-tier, research-based education tailored to modern learners at all academic levels, from undergraduate to professional development.
Supporting the strategic objectives of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR), the Faculty, and the University while fostering beneficial external partnerships.
The Group's activities span three key domains: academic research, education, and professional advisory services.

Qualification Requirements

Entry criteria: MD programme
To be considered for entry to the MD programme you must be,

a holder of an MBChB degree from the University of Sheffield of at least three years' standing or
a recognised graduate in Medicine, with a qualification which confers eligibility for full or provisional registration with the General Medical Council, and a full or part time member of the established or honorary staff of the University of Sheffield or
a recognised graduate in Medicine of at least three years' standing with a qualification which confers eligibility for full or provisional registration with the General Medical Council, and a Higher Degree from the University of Sheffield or another University.

IELTS 7.0 (with 6.5 in each component) or equivalent gained within the past two years, if your first language is not English. TOEFL- Overall score of 95 with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 22 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing, Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Overall score of 67 with a minimum of 61 in each component.
