For students without the typical science or math background required for our programs, the foundation year provides essential preparation. This initial year focuses on building your knowledge and skills to reach the appropriate level for degree studies.
Your coursework will cover chemistry, physics, and mathematics modules. After successfully finishing the foundation year, you'll qualify to begin any of our chemistry degree programs.
You'll have flexibility to specialize later in your studies and can typically transfer between our degree options. During your final year, you'll undertake an in-depth independent research project.
We regularly review our curriculum to ensure it remains current and valuable. Modules may be modified or discontinued occasionally based on factors like new research findings, funding adjustments, accreditation standards, stakeholder feedback, review outcomes, and changes in faculty or enrollment. We commit to transparent communication about any modifications and will implement measures to reduce potential impacts on students.
Our programs are designed with career readiness in focus. Every module develops practical skills for professional success - including analytical thinking, collaboration, research abilities, data interpretation, effective communication, and project coordination.
