Our Master of Arts program focuses on sociocultural, historical, and theoretical perspectives in language and linguistics studies. Students will analyze intricate language challenges across diverse cultural settings and historical eras, while also investigating the fundamental cognitive frameworks and mechanisms that form the basis of human language. The curriculum includes opportunities to explore literary linguistics through various methodologies like cognitive poetics, computational stylistics, and narrative theory.
The program offers flexibility to select complementary modules from adjacent disciplines, including TESOL and applied linguistics within the English Department, or relevant courses from other university departments that align with your specific linguistics interests.
