This program explores the core principles of English and Welsh Common Law while offering insights into European and international legal matters.
Spanning four years, this course includes an overseas study year at one of more than 75 prestigious partner universities worldwide, allowing students to experience different legal systems firsthand. It addresses all fundamental aspects of English and Welsh Common Law, with particular focus on European and international legal frameworks.
Comparative law principles are introduced in the first year, followed by international law studies in the second year. The third year involves studying law in English at an international partner institution. During the final year, students can customize their degree by selecting from specialized modules like International Human Rights Law, Competition Law, and International Trade Law.

The Core Legal and Study Skills component features mooting introductions, career preparation workshops, and academic skill development sessions.

Numerous graduates pursue legal careers as barristers or solicitors.
Our alumni have secured positions at international, national, and regional law firms, joined barristers' chambers, and ascended to judicial roles. The program counts three Lord Justices of Appeal among its distinguished graduates, who frequently return to support current students.
Beyond traditional legal paths, our graduates have established careers in criminal justice and various management professions.
