For more than 35 years, criminology has been an integral part of the School of Law's curriculum, renowned for its exceptional teaching standards and groundbreaking research in fields like policing, victim studies, restorative justice, crime and politics, and desistance theories.
This three-year program provides comprehensive training in fundamental legal subjects while delving deeply into criminological concepts, including criminal justice systems, theories of crime causation, and various societal responses to criminal behavior.
The Core Legal and Study Skills unit offers foundational training in courtroom advocacy, career development workshops, and academic skill-building sessions.
Numerous graduates pursue successful legal careers as either barristers or solicitors.
Our alumni network includes professionals at international, national, and local law firms, members of barristers' chambers, and judicial appointees - including three distinguished Lord Justices of Appeal who maintain active connections with our institution.
