Our psychology course, accredited by the British Psychological Society, equips you with the expertise to examine and interpret human behavior and cognitive functions.
At Sheffield, you'll explore five core psychology disciplines to gain a thorough grounding in the field. The curriculum includes:
Social and health psychology: examine how social contexts influence people's actions, beliefs, and feelings, and apply these insights to encourage healthier lifestyles.
Neuroscience and clinical psychology: investigate mental health assessment and treatment approaches, along with the neurological foundations of cognition and psychological wellbeing.
Cognitive psychology: understand human thought processes through behavioral observation.
Developmental psychology: track psychological transformations throughout life, from early childhood cognition to adolescent emotional and cognitive development.
Research methods: acquire essential skills for addressing psychological inquiries, including designing rigorous studies, interpreting data, and communicating results.
