This Bachelor of Science program enables you to focus on methodological coursework, develop strong quantitative and analytical abilities, and utilize these skills in evaluating economic policies.
The BSc Economics program provides specialization in methodological studies, equipping you with robust quantitative and analytical capabilities for economic policy assessment.

Through our methodological module track, you'll gain expertise in advanced techniques, especially in mathematics and statistics. These methods can then be implemented across various economic challenges within our applied curriculum.

Your first year establishes fundamental economic concepts while strengthening core quantitative abilities through mathematical economics training. Subsequent years expand your theoretical and analytical toolkit with contemporary methodological instruction.
Career preparation and personal growth are integrated throughout our program. First-year students participate in employability workshops covering internship opportunities and economics career paths.
From the first year onward, our curriculum emphasizes data analysis using tools like Excel and Stata. Your final-year dissertation or Economics in Action project cultivates independent research skills prized by employers. Additionally, the Sheffield Economics Employability Development (SEED) initiative offers career-focused events and skill-building opportunities.
