Gain valuable work experience through a paid placement year integrated into your degree program. Explore potential career options between your second and third year, demonstrating to employers your professional readiness.
Our four-year BSc program offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to customize your studies to align with your interests and career aspirations. Whether you're drawn to organisms and ecosystems, biomedicine, molecular biosciences, or a combination of all three, you'll have the freedom to select your preferred subjects across the entire biology spectrum from your very first year.

Additionally, you can opt for a year-long paid work placement as an integral part of your degree.

Starting in year one, you'll curate your academic path by selecting which subjects to pursue and which to bypass, actively shaping your degree while building the expertise for a dynamic future.

You'll explore modules covering all biological scales - from biotechnology, cell biology, genetics, microbiology and biochemistry to biomedicine, neuroscience, human health and disease, as well as biodiversity, evolution, sustainability and climate change. Over half of our biology students choose modules spanning this entire range of biological disciplines.

Opportunities await to conduct your own laboratory research projects, utilizing cutting-edge equipment for stem cell analysis, DNA sequencing, cellular imaging, or landscape studies. You might investigate organism and population growth patterns or examine proteins and enzymes in depth.
