Our foundational undergraduate program immerses you in materials science fundamentals and their practical applications in engineering contexts. You can maintain a broad focus or specialize in later years through elective materials courses.
Beyond traditional classroom learning, you'll engage in hands-on training with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques and analytical equipment, while also gaining industry exposure through workplace experiences.

Students have the flexibility to transition between BEng and MEng programs (contingent on academic performance) after completing their second year.

Industry partnerships
Our longstanding collaborations with diverse industries provide numerous opportunities for sector exploration through site visits, internships, and collaborative projects.

MEng candidates participate in our Industrial Training Programs during their final two years - tackling three authentic industry challenges that demonstrate real-world engineering solutions. Alternatively, research-focused students may pursue academic projects instead of industrial training.
