Delve into the connection between humanity and Earth through our human geography program. You'll discover ways to tackle pressing worldwide issues like climate change, economic disparity, political instability, urban growth, and food shortages.
Engage in a thoughtful examination of how humans interact with space, communities, governance, culture, and personal identity in our human geography curriculum.

You'll develop the ability to use geographical theories and techniques to confront global problems including environmental shifts, social inequality, political tensions, societal transformation, city expansion, and agricultural challenges.

Your studies will emphasize hands-on fieldwork, self-directed investigation, and instruction in various research approaches including qualitative, quantitative, and spatial analysis. Our surroundings serve as an active learning environment: you'll conduct field studies examining urban transformations in Sheffield's post-industrial landscape and assessing human influences on the breathtaking Peak District National Park.

Acquire specialized knowledge, practical abilities, and versatile competencies to prepare for your professional journey. Our human geography alumni often pursue roles in public administration, nonprofit organizations, teaching, environmental conservation, corporate sectors, media, and public policy.
