The BA Economics degree delivers a solid foundation in economic theory while exploring various specialized domains. You'll cultivate both theoretical knowledge and quantitative abilities to become skilled economists, emphasizing real-world economic applications.
During your first year, you'll explore fundamental economic concepts and enhance your quantitative capabilities through mathematical methods for economics. In subsequent years, you'll expand this knowledge base, applying these tools to your preferred economic specialties.
Our program offers flexibility in specialization paths. Both BA and BSc Economics students share identical core and elective modules during the initial two years, enabling exploration of both applied and methodological economics approaches.
Career preparation and personal growth are integral to our curriculum. First-year students participate in employability workshops covering internship opportunities and career paths for economics graduates.
From the first year onward, our courses emphasize data analysis, teaching you to work with real datasets using software like Excel and Stata. Your final year project, whether a dissertation or Economics in Action module, will develop independent research skills prized by employers. Additionally, you can participate in the SEED initiative, featuring career-focused events and skill-building opportunities.
